The statues of Our Lady “in majesty” represents Saint Mary on a throne with the Christ and a crown on her head.
I was lucky enough to come across an ordeal in Pontorson (on my way to Sougéal) when I sawy this statue. Admire by yourself :
Difficult to read the writings on the basis of this statue. But I have been able to read “Salve” (saving) at the beginning and “Misericordia” (mercy) at the end.
Look closer on her throne. Made of sophisticated pillars. Beautiful.
Look at the spikes on it. Superb !
