Many people are superficial like a butterfly. But some (for example the Gothic people) can be serious as a spider.
Working hard, having some discipline, being focused, having the desire to build a family etc… All of these items can be linked to the spider.
Some culture consider that the universe have been made by a spider. Also Saint Ann (the mother of Saint Mary) can be linked to the spider as she is linked to the act of sewing. The Greek goddess Ariadne can be linked to the spider too.
