Behind » Conciergerie des Terres – Paris » we find Clélie Gama. She currently lives in Paris. She is at the head of her estate management company since a few months ago in France. In her life, her passions are dancing and music.
OJL: Hello Clélie.
Clélie: Hello.
OJL: So, we are going to try to see what is your personality first. Then we will talk about your works. What is your favourite colour(s)?
Clélie: I wouldn’t say I have a favourite colour. It sort of depends on my mood but I do prefer warm colours like red and orange.
OJL: What is your favourite number(s)?
Clélie: I’d say the number 8 because I have two of those in my birthdate.
OJL: What are your favourite sports?
Clélie: I started dancing ballet and contemporary dance when I was very young. Around 6. When I started university, I stopped those but quite unexpectedly, I discovered latin dances, salsa and bachata.
At the same time… I started boxing (laughs). I like that it’s a complete sport, you can work your technique as well as your cardio and increase your muscle mass. I don’t spare though.
Also, I was used to swim often when I was younger and I still quite like it today too (smile).
OJL: Which quote do you appreciate?
Clélie: I like this quote from Louis Pasteur: “In the fields of observation chance favors only the prepared mind”. I like to keep this quote in mind, when I try to endeavor new things…
OJL: Let’s talk a bit about you now. What can you tell us about yourself?
Clélie: I grew up in the south of France, and I’m still very attached to this region. I moved to Paris for high school and went on to study in London. I loved my years in London. My classes were interesting, I studied biology then entrepreneurship. I met incredible people there, from all around the world and I had time to explore of lot of my interests, both personals and professionals. I moved back to Paris last year, to work for a biotech startup. For a while now, I had aspired to build my own company and when the opportunity presented itself, I took it.
OJL: Who are the professionals who made you? Those who struck you? In a few names and in a few words.
Clélie: It is the people around me. My friends, my family, my teachers and those who started from scratch and achieved a lot. None are famous or anything, and I saw them succeed and take risks… And I learned from their experience.
OJL: Let’s talk now about your works. What do you do?
Clélie: My company handles property management for short term rentals, such as Airbnb, in Paris. We take care of the property, ensure that the guests are happy, and that the landlords have higher revenues. I like to think of the company as a “family business” because my mom first gave me the idea and my brother helps me a great deal every day, creating the website and handling it for me.
OJL: What services do you propose?
Clélie: Well they are several:
_We create and reference the property ad on rental platforms.
_We optimize the prices so that they are appropriate all year long and attractive to travellers.
_We take care of the communication with them before and during their stay. _Finally, we take care of the property itself, cleaning and changing bed linen after each stay, ensuring nothing broken or stolen, and repair small damage.
_Breakfast on arrival is also included in our offer.
We want to be most transparent to our customers, both landlords and travellers, and we strongly believe in quality work. We also sell our breakfast boxes separately, to individuals or companies.
OJL: Is it possible to ask you for a custom service?
Clélie: Yes, we aim at tailoring our service to landlords’ needs so you may ask for a quote.
OJL: Is it possible to subscribe to your newsletter? Because the social networks are a bit… saturated.
Clélie: Unfortunately, we do not yet have a newsletter, I invite you to check regularly our website or follow us on our different social media accounts.
OJL: Do you have an anecdote about your work?
Clélie: I do have a small anecdote. Our logo design is inspired from our childhood house, with the sun above, in the south of France (smile).
OJL: Last question. You surely have some friends who are making wonders! If you would like to promote them, this is your time!
Clélie: Yes of course ! For example… My brother (laughs), Mr Maxence Gama, who is a web developer. He creates the website of your dreams. Here are some of his creations: Papang surf school, Kathy Model and of course Conciergerie des terres.
